Synopsis

On the evening of August 1944, five men storm in Sacha Guitry’s residence and take him to the cells. From there starts the author’s 60-day incarceration. At the peak of his fame, Guitry mulls over the events that marked his career. At fifty years old, many memories are brought back to mind : The relocation from Russia to France, his all-consuming love for women, his spectacular theatre hits, up until his arrest, which he cannot come to terms with. Him, a collaborator ? Really ? Would’nt there be less noble motives behind his solitary confinement ?
