Synopsis

Love At War? looks at the new rules governing male-female relationships, reflecting the social changes in four different countries: USA, Sweden, Turkey and Japan. In Japan, social evolution has given women a new sense of their identity and freedom. In North America, the daughters of the radical feminists of the seventies choose to do away with the patriarchal order, and with the male altogether. In Sweden, we see the extreme consequences of the militant rhethorics in personal and matrimonial affairs. In Turkey, women join forces against the return of the Islamic fundamentalists, to protect what little freedom and power they have gained over the years.
