Synopsis

Forty directors from around the world used the restored 1895 Lumière brother’s Cinematographe camera to film forty shorts each lasting 52 seconds.
Sarah Moon’s making off forms a counterpoint to these shorts and casts a tender and amused eye on this encounter between past and present cinema.
