Synopsis

An artistic documentary, based on the life and work of the genius of Czech music. Even the most international of the music of Anton Dvorak, resounds with the spirit of his homeland. “He does not see the world, he hears it”. The film conjures up the principal influences on his life and creativity : the country of his childhood, the years of happiness at Zlonice, his passion for Josefina, his friendship with Brahms, his fascination with steam engines, his tours of England and America, his return to his native land – and the profound nationalism of this great patriot.
