HISTOIRE DES FEMMES : PARLER

Synopsis

WOMEN’S VOICES, inspired by Georges Duby and Michelle Perrot’s encyclopedia History of Women, is a wide historical depiction through a thematic perspective. This documentary relates the progressive accession of women to the liberty of speech, from the striclty private sphere at the wash-house and at the market, to the public scenes on the street or in Parliament. Great figures of History or Mythology as well as humble tales of everyday life come together to draw this peculiar part of the history of our civilization.
