KAFR QAR’A – ISRAEL

Our State is the State of Israël. Our people, is the palestinian people. The war is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We, are the Israeli Arabs or, as some of the younger ones say now, the Israeli Palestinians. Since the creation of the State of Israel, the Arab citizens have constituted a lesser known part of the Palestinian people and care a part of the Isreali society which is rarely acknowledged. They make up a population of 750 000 Moslems, Christians and Druse, totalling 17% of the population of Israël. As citizens of Israël, the majority of them intend to stay in Israël even if a Palestinian state were created.
