Synopsis
If there is one person the general public meets more often in murder mysteries than in real life, it is the medical examiner, the forensic scientist. Dr. Werson is a medical examiner. He heads the forensic unit of the department of Essonne, in the suburbs of Paris. He is both a doctor and a justice official and it is his role to determine whether a death is of natural causes or if there is suspicion of foul play. Murder, suicide, assault and sexual aggression are his daily lot, autopsies are his everyday practice. The best thing is never to cross his path, for if you have the misfortune to be one of his patients, then it’s already too late. And if you’ve committed a crime? Well, the medical examiner knows how to make the dead talk.
