Synopsis
Here are the monuments of Angkor in the heart if the world’s largest archaeological excavation site: the Bapuon Temple also known as “The golden Mountain”. Rediscovered in 1908 in the Cambodian forest, it rises in the centre of the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire. It took a century of restoration for this monument to regain its splendour, revealing hidden secrets.
The film communicates the willingness that captured the hearts and minds of several generations of researchers whose passion for this exceptional site never failed, sometimes at the risk of their lives.
