LA PASSION SELON MEHDI

Nothing predisposed Medhi Savalli, young second generation immigrant, born in a popular tower block of Barriol’s district at Arles, to become interested in bulls. But at Arles, in Camargue, bull art, enlighten outfits, the arena’s immensity crushed by the sun that’s what is making children dream, who early are playing bullfight with imaginary wild animals with a piece of fabric.

Medhi, very early, has been fascinated by bulls, and thanks to Paquito Leal and his bull’s school teaching, bullfighting art quickly became a passion, a vocation, an ethic, a way of life. This movie tells us the important, unique relationship that links both for ever : Medhi bullfighter student and Paquito, his master, his mentor , his “quadrille” chief. But the student  will soon surpass his master…
